Despite economic growth in recent years, poverty remains a significant issue in the Phillipines. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the poverty incidence among Filipino families in 2020 was estimated at 16.6%, which means that approximately 22 million Filipinos were living in poverty. Poverty is a vicious cycle that is hard to break out of.
We believe that education is a key tool in breaking this cycle. As such, Reconstructed are committed to sending children in the Philippines to school and equipping them with the necessary supplies to succeed. With access to education, these children will have the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
As well as sending kids to school, we also have partnered with local organisations in the Phillipines to provide Christmas presents and school supplies for families in poverty. We understand the privilege of living in a country like Australia, and it is our company’s passion to ensure we can use this privilege to help others. Providing Christmas presents to children in the Philippines not only brings joy and excitement to their lives but also shows them that they are cared for and valued. Christmas presents may seem like a small gesture, but for these children, it means the world.
As a company, we will continue to prioritise philanthropic efforts and work towards building a better future for those in need. We ensure a percentage of every product is donated to our charity. With every product purchased, you’re not only helping the environment, but you’re also giving disadvantaged children a chance at a future.
